Peel, core and slice apples. Squeeze lemon juice over apple slices. Toss to coat.
Stir together, flour, salt, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Add apple filling to a pie tin with prepared, uncooked pie crust. Add butter to top.
Roll out pie crust for the top layer. Cut out a shape in the center, if desired.
Gently place pie crust over the top of the pie.
Seal the top and bottom crusts together by pinching with your fingers. Sprinkle the top with additional sugar.
Bake at 425° F for 40-50 minutes until filling is bubbling and crust is golden brown.
