White Pizza with Garlic Pizza Sauce

Learn how to make delicious white pizza with garlic pizza sauce. This gourmet pizza is easy to make and the perfect cheese pizza!

Equipment

Ingredients
  

Garlic Pizza Sauce Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoon butter unsalted
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • cup whole milk
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 3 cloves of garlic very finely chopped (3 tsps of jarred minced garlic)
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese freshly grated

Pizza Ingredients:

  • 1 pizza crust homemade or store bought
  • 8 oz low moisture mozzarella cheese grated
  • ½ cup parmesan garlic sauce (recipe above)
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese grated
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Garnish:

  • 2 tablespoon fresh basil chiffonade

Instructions

Garlic Pizza Sauce Instructions:

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
  • Whisk in flour. Continue whisking for about 2 minutes. Do not brown.
    Flour and butter whisked to make a roux.
  • Slowly whisk in milk. Whisk continually until the mixture is smooth, thick and bubbly, about 3-5 minutes.
    Cream added to roux.
  • Add ¼ teaspoon sea salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper and 3 cloves of finely chopped garlic. Whisk to combine.
    Seasonings poured into pot.
  • Add parmesan cheese. Whisk until just melted. Remove from heat.

  • Allow to cool before using or cover and refrigerate for up to 5 days.

Pizza Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 450ºF.
  • Roll out your crust on a 12-14" pizza pan.

  • Brush the crust with olive oil. Sprinkle on the Italian seasoning.

  • Spread garlic sauce around the crust.

  • Add mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or util the crust is cooked and the cheeses are melted.

Notes

  • You can use a rectangular baking sheet as well. Cut the slices into squares or long rectangles like breadsticks.
  • Serve with a side salad or roasted vegetables.
