Indulge your cravings for campfire s'mores without all the mess. Whip up these dessert bars in just 5 minutes with a few simple ingredients and watch them disappear before you eyes.
In a large pot on medium-low heat slowly melt the butter, stirring continually. Immediately add the mini marshmallows (reserve ½ cup) and mix until melted.
Remove from heat and gently stir in the graham cereal and the remaining marshmallows until coated.
Allow to cool for a few minutes then add in the tiny marshmallows ⅓ cup of the mini chocolate chips. Gently fold the mixture and sprinkle in ⅓ of a cup more. Fold the mixture again and add the rest in.
Press the s’mores mixture into a greased, prepared pan (9x9-inch9x13-inch baking dish).
Cool completely for 2-3 hours then slice into squares and serve.
Notes
Use a graham cereal. If you can’t find a graham cereal you can either break up pieces of graham crackers or use a cereal like Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
If you can’t find the tiny marshmallows, use mini marshmallows. You don’t want these to melt so allow the mixture to cool a little before adding.
The mini chocolate chips will melt if the mixture is too warm or if you over-mix. Gently fold them into the mixture once it’s mostly cooled but before it’s set.
Cool in the refrigerator to speed up the setting process. You can cut them and eat them immediately but they will be very gooey and sticky.
