3-4clovesgarlicminced
1teaspoonItalian seasoning
1teaspoondried parsley
2tablespoonsparmesan cheesegrated
olive oilfor working with the dough
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 150°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Shape the dough into a log shape. Divide the loaf into four sections (with a knife or scissors) and then cut each section into four more pieces for a total of 16 evenly sized pieces.
Use olive oil to grease your fingers and roll each piece of dough into a 6-inch rope. Loop the rope into a knot.
Place knots on prepared baking sheets, spaced 2 inches apart. Repeat for the remaining pieces of dough.
Cover the baking sheets with a lightweight towel. TURN OFF the oven and place the baking sheets in the warm oven. Allow the knots to rise for 30 minutes to 1 hour or until they are puffy and doubled in size.
After the knots have risen, remove baking sheets from the oven and preheat it to 400°F.
Whisk together melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, parsley, and parmesan cheese.
Brush butter mixture over each knot, reserving ½ of the butter mixture to brush on the knots after they've finished baking.
Bake knots for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
Brush reserved butter mixture over the hot bread knots and serve immediately.
