Equipment
1 Instant Pot (or similar electric pressure cooker)
Ingredients
2cupsJasmine rice
2cupswater
½tspnsalt
Instructions
In a mesh strainer, rinse rice for 1-2 minutes or until water runs clear and starch is washed off.
Place rice, water and salt in Instant Pot. Stir.
Lock lid in place and turn vent to closed. Set high pressure or manual pressure to 4 minutes.
Allow a 10 minute natural release. Vent to release any leftover pressure. Unlock and remove lid.
Fluff rice with a fork. Serve.
Notes
Do not cook the rice without rinsing.
The ratio of rice to water should be 1:1. Keep the size of your Instant Pot in mind if decreasing or increasing the amount of rice you cook. Cook times may need to be adjusted if you increase the amount of rice you’re cooking.
