Cannoli Dip Recipe With Mascarpone Cheese

Creamy cannoli filling turned into a scrumptious dip that tastes great with cookies, graham crackers and cone pieces.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese or cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • If there is excess liquid in the ricotta or in the mascarpone, place them in a fine mesh sieve over a bowl and drain for at least 30 minutes.
  • In a bowl, use a hand mixer to beat together ricotta and mascarpone until smooth and creamy.

  • Slowly beat in powdered sugar and vanilla extract.

  • Fold in chocolate chips.

Notes

  • Tip: Use top quality ricotta cheese for this recipe. We recommend very fine-grained, whole milk ricotta to get a smooth and creamy texture.
  • Tip: Make sure ricotta and mascarpone cheese do not contain any excess liquid, otherwise your sweet dip might become runny.
  • Tip: Use a stand mixer or electric hand mixer to cream together the base for this dip. That way the dip will get a lot fluffier.
