Chili Cheese Dip Recipe

Perfect game day snack full of chili flavor and gooey cheese! Make it as mild or spicy as you like! This baked hot chili dip is perfect for dipping anything.

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • cups grated cheddar cheese
  • cups grated Monterey Jack cheese
  • ½ cup salsa
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 15 oz can of chili

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Combine cheeses in a small bowl.

  • In another small bowl, mix together cream cheese, salsa, and 1 cup of grated cheese.

  • Spread mixture into a pie plate or oven-proof shallow dish.

  • Combine another cup of cheeses and the can of chili and spread over the cream cheese mixture in the baking dish.

  • Top with remaining cheeses.

  • Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

Notes

  • Tip: Soften cream cheese to almost room temperature. That way it blends smoothly with the other dip ingredients.
  • Tip: For best results, grate your own cheese. Pre-grated cheese contains additives and therefore does not provide the same amazing flavor as freshly grated cheese.
  • Tip: Use good quality chili. Only tasty chili makes a great tasting dip.
