Ingredients
4cupsblackberriesfresh or frozen
⅔cuplight brown sugarpacked
2teaspoonsvanilla extract
1teaspoonground cinnamon
¼teaspoonground cardamom
1packageyellow cake mix(just the dry cake mix)
½cupquick-cooking rolled oats
1cupsalted buttermelted
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Combine blackberries, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and cardamom in 9"x13" baking dish.
Sprinkle cake mix and rolled oats over the blackberry mixture. Use your fingers or a spoon to lightly combine the cake mix and rolled oats.
Pour melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix/oats.
Bake about 30-50 minutes until the blackberry filling is bubbling and topping is browned and baked through. ***See note below on cooking time.
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
