Instant Pot Country Style Ribs

These amazingly tender Instant Pot country style ribs are full of flavor and fall apart in your mouth.

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 lbs boneless country style ribs
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, mix oil, brown sugar, salt, ground mustard, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika and cayenne pepper.

  • Coat meat with oil and seasoning and rub in.

  • Add meat and broth to the Instant Pot.

  • Lock lid and set seal to closed.
  • Pressure cook on high pressure for 45 minutes. Natural release for 15 minutes.

  • Transfer meat (not liquid) to a foil covered baking sheet.

  • Brush all sides with BBQ sauce.

  • Broil until the tips begin to brown, about 8-10 minutes.

  • Remove from the oven and serve.

Notes

  • You can rub the ribs and refrigerate up to 24 hours before cooking, if you want.
  • Serve with additional BBQ sauce for dipping.
  • You can substitute the beef broth for chicken or vegetable broth if you prefer.
  • Watch the ribs while they’re broiling closely so you don’t burn them. Foods in the broiler can cook very quickly.
