Cool, creamy dip packed with cheese, bacon and ranch flavor. Crack dip is perfect for dipping potato chips, crackers or vegetables.

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • cooking spoon or spatula

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups medium cheddar cheese grated, divided
  • ½ cup bacon cooked, crumbled and divided
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix or 2 tablespoon homemade ranch seasoning

Optional Garnish:

  • green onions

Instructions

  • Stir together all the dip ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

  • Make sure to save some grated cheese and bacon crumbles for topping.

  • Refrigerate mixed up dip for several hours, if possible.

  • Top with more grated cheese, bacon and green onions before serving with potato chips, buttery crackers, or fresh veggies.

Notes

  • Tip: Make sure to use softened cream cheese. That way it blends smoothly with the other dip ingredients.
  • Tip: Grate your own cheese. Pre-grated cheese contains additives and therefore does not provide the same amazing flavor as freshly grated cheese.
  • Tip: Use real bacon for this perfect dip recipe. Even though bacon bits work in a pinch, nothing beats fresh bacon flavor.
