Honey Lime Glazed Shrimp Recipe

Amazingly flavorful sweet and sour shrimp with just the right amount of spice. Made with garlic, lime and honey, this shrimp takes just 5 minutes to cook.

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 2 limes juiced (about 3 tablespoons)
  • 2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Combine olive oil, honey, lime juice, minced garlic, salt, pepper, chili powder in a medium bowl. Whisk well.

  • Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss all the ingredients to coat the shrimp.

  • Marinate for at least 15 minutes up to 8 hours.

  • Heat skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and marinade.

  • Flip shrimp after about 2 minutes.

  • Cook an additional 2-3 minutes until the shrimp are pink, curled and cooked through.
  • Serve with parsley (optional).

Notes

  • Shrimp is cooked when it is pink and curls up.
  • If you’re in a rush you can just marinate and then cook immediately but we recommend marinating for at least 15 minutes.
